Mangaluru, March 23: The city traffic police on Sunday March 17th stopped the vehicles which were using horns with high decibels and also stopped more than 35 buses near Light House Hill and fined over 26 buses.
Cracking down on vehicles, especially buses that use high decibel horns indiscriminately, the city traffic police on Sunday March 17 intercepted over 35 buses near Light House Hill and fined more than 26 of them.
Acting as per the orders issued by ACP Udaya Nayak the city traffic police undertook this operation for the third time.
Speaking to the media, ACP Udaya Nayak said, as per the orders of higher authorities, we are undertaking this regular inspection which is going to continue.
Along with buses, all the vehicles are being inspected and fined for various violations, including usage of high-pitched horns, not wearing seat belts, not possessing licence or insurance, etc he informed.
The operation was conducted by Guru Kamath, inspector of Mangaluru city Bunder traffic police station and his team.
