Mangaluru, February 28: Cops have taken several people into custody in connection with the recent group clashes which erupted at K C Road near Talapady over the dispute of hanging buntings and banners.
Two have been arrested for the involvement in the conflict. The arrested men are identified as Shafique (31), from Kinya, and Aslam (28) from Talapady.
The police have been enforcing prohibitory orders by directing shops and establishments to close their shutters by 6 pm.
It is learnt, in the sensitive areas, additional police forces have been deployed.
