Mischief mongers hurl stones at St Joseph Vaz shrine in Deralakatte.

Mangaluru, February 25: Stones were pelted by the mischief mongers at St Joseph Vaz shrine located at Panir, in Deralakatte here, during night of Tuesday February 24th.

The incident came to light on Wednesday February 25 morning. It is reported that the glass sheath covering the statues of Mother Mary and Infant Jesus were damaged.

The offenders have not been identified yet, but a school boy has revealed that he saw two persons sitting in front of the shrine on Tuesday night.

The locals have said that sometimes miscreants were found to be indulging in illegal activities like ganja consumption in the area.

U T Khadar- Health and Family welfare minister has visited the spot. ACP Shankar Shetty, SI Bharati and other cops have inspected the spot and have undertaken investigations.
