Karkala, February 16: During the Miyar Kambala organized near here on Sunday February 15th, a team of experts from Veterinary University in Bidar had arrived here to observe the manner in which Kambala race is conducted.
The committee in general opined that the organizers should focus on the fact of making kambala completely free of violence in order to continue it for the next generation.
A team comprising experts from the university led by its dean, Vasant Shetty, arrived to Miyar and watched Kambala personally. The team has been formed to visit Kambalas and submit a report to the government.
The committee felt that the Kambala, which was under the threat of being banned permanently, can sustain if non-violence is strictly followed.
