Udupi, February 16: Four persons were arrested by a team of cops led by town police inspector, Srikant, near Udyavar Balaipade during the midnight on Saturday February 14th.
It is gathered that a group of four persons were planning to rob people and vehicles moving on national highway- 66.
The arrested persons have been identified as Karan Bahadur Khadg (42), Dil Bahadur Rukaya (40), Bheem Bhadur Thapa (28), and Sher Bahadur Khadg (35). One among the team members, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has escaped from the cops. It is learnt that, all are Nepalis.
The police have seized a sword, two iron rods, two packets of chilli powder and a sharp edged wooden piece.
Based on particular information, the cops had raided the spot.
