Mangalore, May 27: It was indeed a temporary relief from the soaring temperature and unbearable humidity for the people of coastal region as rains coupled with thunder and lightning lashed across the region on May 26, Sunday night.
Sources said, moderate rains coupled with heavy thunder and lightning has been reported in places like Puttur, Belthangady, Bantwala, Mulky and Kateel.
In places like Saligrama, Kota, Brahmavar, Karkala and udipi rains accompanied by gales have also been reported.
