Puttur, January 17: “None can resist re-conversion. Ghar Vapsi will be held until the central government fails to enforce the ban on conversion act”, said Praveen Bhai Togadia, international president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
He delivered his key note address at the ‘Virat Hindu Hridaya Sangama’ organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishat as part of its golden jubilee celebration in Puttur on Friday evening, January 16th.
Togadia said since the past thousand years, Hindus are continually being converted into other religion. Those who had converted form Hinduism are back to get reconverted. It is our duty to accept them, he said.
Around 50 lakhs of Hindus are being saved from conversion since the past 50 years. The constitution provides the right to campaign on the religion but it does not state to convert. But the campaign on the religion is mistaken for conversion and the innocent people are lured and converted to other religions, alleged Togadia. He said, the government should completely ban conversion and severely punish the persons involved in conversion.
Togadia said, the VHP has the sole intension of constructing Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. He said VHP is working in 2 lakh villages in India and has branches in hundred countries over the globe.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief of south zone, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, presided over the programme, said Hindu society and country have grown together. Hindu society has always aimed at the welfare of the world, but it is neglected over time in Independent India. In order to avert this Hindus ought to unite, he opined.
Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math, who addressed the gathering, alleged that the state government has failed to provide security to the Hindus. Odiyoor Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji, gave a call to the Hindus to unite in order to protect the mutts and divine places. Manila Mohandas Swamiji, said the Hindus ought to reject fake Hindu associations which do not know the gist of Hinduism.
Balekody Math Shashikanth Mani Swamiji, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders, Rajamatha Chandrakanta Devi, Gopalaji and Meenakshi Thayi Peshwe, entrepreneur, Kudgi Sudhakar Shenoy, Babu Mugera, Bantwal taluk panchayat former president, Bajrang Dal leaders, Sharan Pumpwell and Bhaskar Dharmasthala, VHP state president M B Puranik and others were present.
Dr M K Prasad, President of Virat Hindu Hridaya Sangama Committee, welcomed the gathering. Arunkumar Puttila, delivered the introductory address. Vote of thangs was proposed by Deekaiah Pervody. Sooryanarayana Bhat Kashekodi, Harini Putturaya, and Muralikrishna Hasanthadka compeered the programme.
A huge crowd of over 50,000 people had participated in the event.
