Mangalore ,jan.15: The officers of Customs at mangalore Inaternational Airport, seized 424 packets (each 25 grams) of iranian saffron totally weighing 10.60 kg valued at Rs 12.75 lakhs concealed in the baggage of a passenger. the passenger mohammed riyaz is a resident of Mogral Puttur, Kasaragod, Kerala who arrived at Managalore International Airport on today by Air India flight No IX 814 From Dubai at 0800 hrs.
Operation were cionducted under the supervision of shri N udayashanakaran, Assistant Commissioner of Customs Mangalore International Airport Futher Investigation is under progress in the above said case under the guidance of Commisioner D puruhotham.
