Yearly fair at Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple begins from January 15th on-wards.

Mangalore, January 14: The yearly fair at historic Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple will be held from January 15th to January 24th– 2015.

Theertha Snana begins on Thursday, January 15th and flag will be hoisted by “Elu Pattana Mogaveera Sabha” at 6 pm.  Dhwaja bali, Garudarohana, is scheduled at 10pm. Various programmes and rituals are scheduled on the other days too, informed A Janardhana Shetty, the chairman of the temple’s management committee at a press conference on Wednesday, January 14th.

S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, member of the Management Committee has requested the devotees to participate in the rituals and procession organized by the temple.

Fund raising for the lunch facility:

The pilgrims are provided lunch daily in the afternoon and the devotees who are interested to contribute for the same are requested to contact the temples office for details.

None are employed to collect funds on behalf of the temple; hence the public’s are requested not to entertain such persons. Any sorts of donation have to be given at the temple only, informed Kalkura requesting the devotees.

Cultural events:

During the fair cultural programs are organized in which about a thousand artists are expected to showcase diverse cultural program revealed Pradeep Kumar Kalkura.

Derebail Vittaladasa Tantry, Management Committee CEO Ningaiah, Dr Ananthakrishna Bhat- committee member,Niveditha Shetty, and Sudhakar Rao Pejawar were present during the press meet.
