Puttur, December 30: On her wedding day, a bride went missing from her house at Kalige in Bilinele village near Kadaba who was supposed to enter wedlock on Sunday, December 28th.
The missing bride is Dr Kripa, daughter of Nityananda Gowda. Her wedding was fixed with a doctor groom from Panja on Sunday at the Panchalingeshwara Temple in Panja.
Previous night, a Mehendi function was held too. The next morning it was terribly shocking for her family members to know that the bride has gone missing. The wedding was cancelled after a fruitless search for her, and the food prepared for around 2000 guests during the wedding was distributed to students of different schools of the village.
Sources said, the bride had an affair with her former doctor colleague in Bengaluru and it is suspected that she might have eloped with him.
A missing complaint has been lodged by the bride’s father where as the groom’s family has lodged a complaint with the police seeking repayment of wedding expenses.
