Mangalore/Nelyadi, May 22: U T Khader newly elected state minister for Health and family welfare paid a visit to Kokkada Endo-sulfane-victim’s nursing centre and enquired about the health condition/plight and demands of the Endo-victims.
Although many such surveys have been conducted in the past, he has expressed his displeasure over the delay in submitting the report of the endo-victims by the concerned officials and directed the district health commissioner to submit the detailed report about Endo-victims and their problems within a month time.
Officials concerned have been taken into task for failing to submit the Endo-victims report even after the lapse of nine months and urged the officials to try to get appropriate compensation without the involvement of politics in the issue.
He further said that the land for construction of building has already been approved for the Endo-victim centre but he promised that only after obtaining related information about the same over the phone from deputy commissioner, the future course of action will be taken.
He also advised the Gram Panchayat officials to take an initiative to tackle the problems faced by the Endo-victims and received the memorandum from the optimistic and likeminded people of Kokkada village and thereafter people of the Kokkada village honoured and felicitated U T Khader on his victory in the recently concluded assembly elections and elevation to ministerial rank.
