Mangaluru, December 16: As part of the “Vijay Diwas”, tribute was paid to the martyrs at a program organized at the War Memorial at Kadri here on Tuesday December 16th.
The program was organized under the collaboration of Dakshina Kannada District ExServicemen’s Association, Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple Trust and Lions Club International District 317D.
A.B. Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, addressed the gathering and urged the citizens to remember the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers to their country.
Col. N, Sharath Bhandari, President , DK Ex Servicemen’s Association spoke about the significance of observing Vijay Diwas.
R Hithendra, City Police Commissioner, Uma MG, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tulasi Maddineni, CEO-Zilla Panchayat, Dr Sharanappa, SP, N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor – Nitte University, Vijayanath Vittal Shetty, Trustee- Shastavu Shree Bhoothanatheshwara Temple Trust, Manjunath Bhandari, Lions District Governor were present among others.
