Goonda act to be invoked on those who involve in repeated offences- SP Dr Sharanappa.

Belthangady, December 11: Speaking to the media at Belthangady police station on Wednesday, December 10th, he warned of taking stringent actions against those who spread false rumours via the social networking sites or any other transmission modes to disrupt peace and tranquillity.

He also informed that the police department would take stringent actions against those who take law into their hands and goonda act would be invoked against those whose names appear in repeated offences.

Dr Sharanappa, conversing on the attack on the cattle traffickers at Belalu said, cattle’s trafficking is an offence. Likewise attacking the accused, taking law into hands is also a crime.

Lingappa Poojary –Circle inspector, ASP Rahul, and Punjalakatte police sub-inspector Latesh Kumar were present.
