Mangaluru, December 11: A jeweller Naveen Acharya from Maryhill Gurunagara in the city was found dead sitting on the driver’s seat of his car on Tuesday December 9th.
Naveen Acharya owned a jewellery shop in car street, Mangaluru.
On December 8th morning, Acharya had left home for his shop. Since he had not returned home, his wife called him on his phone and there was no response.
Next day morning, the family members saw the car parked close to their residence and Acharya sitting on the driver’s seat of his car. When they opened the car’s door, they found that Acharya was no more.
A suicide note was found in the pocket of Acharya stating that Shivananda Ketli from Mescom, Narayana Bondel, Tony Contractor and Puttur Ramachandra Acharya were responsible for his death. The note also has provided cell phone numbers of these persons, and mentioned the total amount due as Rs 13,35,000.
Acharya’s wife, Shwetha, has filed a complaint at Mangaluru rural police station.It states that her husband Naveen had faced financial crisis as the people who had taken debt from him had failed to return the money. On getting frustrated, Naveen Acharya has ended his life.
Investigations are underway.
