Mangaluru, December 1: Muralidhar Rao, BJP national general secretary speaking at a press meet in Mangaluru on Monday December 1st, revealed his plans of making BJP the largest party in the world.
He said, the aim of BJP is to make Karnataka a Congress-free state. After winning in Maharashtra and Haryana, we also want Karnataka to be completely free from Congress’ distorted ideology, anti-people policies and corrupt politics, said Rao.
He also informed BJP membership campaign is in progress. “By giving a missed call, one can enrol as a party member. Party workers will approach them for verification with party terms and conditions”, he said.
Rao said, public support in the last election was tremendous and the majority of these votes were from the youth. We got their massive mandate because we enrolled them as party members. The party understands the importance of membership drive which converts party supporters into party members. BJP is an all-India party now after years of hard work. BJP will become strong in states where it has weaker presence. BJP will focus on Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Eastern states like Bengal, Assam and Odisha,” he said.
Referring to BJP’s plans to protest against the state government during Belgavi session he said, during the Belagavi session on December 9th, a massive protest rally will be organized against the government on its administrative failure.
Answering the reporters about the image of BJP in Karnataka, Rao said, BJP will work towards the interests of the citizens of the state. Youths are joining, which has injected much dynamism.
Dakshina Kannada district BJP president Pratap Simha Nayak, leaders such as Sanjeev Mathanduru, Kishore Rai, Shailaja Bhat, former MLA Yogesh Bhat, Nagaraj Shetty, Dr Bharath Shetty, Divakara Samani were present at the press conference.
