Mangaluru, November 29: An accident occurred between two Lorries, Car and Honda Activa in a curved road at Assaigoli, Konaje on Friday evening, November 28th in which three suffered injuries.
Naveen, the rider of Honda Activa; Ismail and Hamid who were in the lorry are the injured who are being treated in a hospital.
The tipper lorry loaded with stones was plying from Konaje to Deralakatte when its driver avoided collision with the Activa scooter coming from the opposite end. Mean while, the tipper rammed into a driving training Car and Lorry which was plying from Deralakatte to Assaigoli.
The Car and Tipper Lorry are badly mangled due the accident. Traffic was jammed for half an hour following the accident.
Konaje cops arrived at the spot and eased the traffic flow. A case is filed at the Konaje police station.
Assaigoli, which is situated along the road connecting Thokkotu- Mani has steep curves. Even this accident has occurred in one among such curves. The roads are narrow and shrubs have grown on both the sides of the roads, hence the vehicles arriving from the opposite end is unseen. This has owed to many accidents here. Hence the locals wish that, the local Panchayat would take appropriate steps and make the area an accident free zone.
