Mangaluru, November 15: A unique extravaganza “FORTE” was organised by Lourdes Central School-Bejai for over three hours on Friday, 14th November 2014, in the school ground.
The Bishop accompanied by other dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the occasion by opening a sphere which housed variety of Musical Instruments . Ms Yajna Shetty, a famous kannada film actress was the guest of honour.
The celebration began with a prayer song.
Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’ Souza welcomed the guests. He said, the school along with academics concentrates on the all-round development of the pupils.
Principal Rev Fr Michael Lobo rendered a special thanks to the children for their prayers and wished them a Happy Children’s Day.
Classical kathak dance, songs by parents and Ex-students, comedy skit, School orchestra, etc, were performed.
Music, dance, skit, and comedy shows were performed under the theme “East Meets West” by the Parents, Teachers, Ex-Students and Students of Lourdes Central School-Bejai.
Food court was also stalled to benefit the audience present.
Bishop of Mangalore, Ms Yajna Shetty, Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, secretary of the Catholic Board of Education Rev Fr Jerald D’ Souza, Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, Mr Nirmal D’Souza, Parish Parishad Vic- President, Bejai, Ms Gayathri Shetty, PTEC Vice-President, Principal LCS, Rev Fr Michael Lobo, Vice Principal, Ms Lydia D’Souza, were present along with other dignitaries.
The programme was compeered by Melita Pinto. A firework was displayed during the culmination of the programme. This awesome global music carnival will be cherished in the memories of audience for long.
