 “Respecting humanity” – the nine days campaign of SSF culminates at Nehru Maidan.

Mangaluru, November 3: In spite of all the differences “Our India is known for Unity in diversity”. The culmination programme of ‘Humanistic conference’ organised at Nehru Maidan, with an intension of spreading the message of humanity was inaugurated by the chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah. This nine day long silver jubilee celebration of Sunni Students Federation (SSF) culminated on Sunday, November 2nd.

The efforts of SSF propagating the message of ‘Respecting humanity’ which helps to brood brotherly hood among our citizens was lauded by Siddramaiah.

Karnataka Yatre started on October 25th in Gulbarga initiated and led by AP Abubaker Musliyar of Kanthapuram, ended in Mangalore after traversing 20 districts by 2,100 kilometres in nine days.

The Chief Minister after inaugurating ‘Humanistic conference’, said, “Indians should fight against terrorism and communalism. Terrorism is a serious hurdle for the growth of nation. We see many innocents killed in the act of terrorism. Abubaker has condemned terrorist’s activities. Terrorism curbs the Nations peace. Our motto is to give equal opportunity and equality as per the constitutions of India. As a CM, I am carrying out my duty to serve the poor”.

The Chief Minister said, “Youth should take an oath not to involve in any communal forces which divides the society”.

AP Abubaker Musliyar addressing the gathering said, “India is our country. We have to protect our diversity and fight against terrorism and communalism. We don’t need Muslims from outside India to worry about the internal security of Muslims in India. Internal security has been secured by constitutions of India and we believe in it. In Kerala, posters, notices and bills are promoting extremism and terrorism which is a conspiracy to defame Islam and transparent investigation should be carried out”.

Abubaker speaking on Jammu and Kashmir issue said, “Jammu and Kashmir is integral part of India and should always remain in India. We need Kashmiri soil and people in India”.He also emphasised that Islam promotes peace not terrorism.. He also revealed that Sunni Students Federation and youth are very powerful and keen in spreading the message of humanity in our society.

Pejawar math Vishvesha Teertha swamiji, MLC Ivan D’Souza,  Health minister UT Khader, district-in-charge minister Ramnath Rai, vice-chancellor of Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, Urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, former minister Vishwantha, sports minister Abhayachandra Jain, and Milagres Fr Valerian D’Souza were present in the gathering.
