Udupi, November 1: The victim of suspected rape from Theerthahalli has breathed her last at Manipal Hospital. The girl was a resident of Balebailu in Theerthahalli was a class 8th student of Government Pre-University College.
On October 29th morning, she was waiting at the bus stop for her friends to go to school. Meanwhile, on hearing her name called by the persons who arrived by a car at the venue, she moved towards the vehicle when she was forced into it and kidnapped.
By 12 noon, she was abandoned at Tuduki Anandagiri which is about 3 km. When the wood cutters saw this frightened girl, with the help of her school identity card informed her parents using their phone number, after which the parents took the girl home.
In the evening, the girl began to vomit. On the October 30th she was admitted to a local hospital. Due to the rapid falling blood pressure, she was shifted to Manipal Hospital on Friday morning.
The doctors had discovered some problem in her belly, but by evening the girl died failing to respond to the treatments.
It is said, the girl has revealed the information about the incident to her mother. The truth will come to light only after the autopsy and probe of her mother.
