Customs officials trace illegal gold concealed in kids toys.

Mangalore, October 21: The customs officials at Mangalore airport have seized gold weighing 384grams worth Rs 10.46 lakhs On Monday, October 20th.

The traveller identified as Kasargod  Yedaneer resident Abdul Shabeer (19) who arrived at MIA by the Jet airways from Dubai on Monday at 7am had carried illegal gold which was recovered by customs officials.

When he arrived at the airport, the customs officials who checked him have traced the gold. The 384 gram weighing gold biscuit was placed inside the motor of kids toys such as Jeep and dog toy. The biscuit was coated with silver. The value of the gold is estimated to be Rs 10,46,000. The customs officials have detained the accused and handed him over to the Bajpe Police station and investigations are on.
