Hegde files case against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi at Belthangady police station.

Mangalore, October 19: A plaint against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi has been registered with Belthangady police.

The Dharmadhikari of Shree Dharmasthala Shrine Sri Veerendra Heggade has complained to the Dakshina Kannada district Superintendent of Police.

As per complaint by Sri Heggade, for the past one year-Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi has been spreading false news against him through the media.The complaint further states that, on the basis of few incidents which had taken place around Dharmasthala, Thimarodi has been accusing Dharmasthala and him of committing various offences. Thimarodi has also been dragging the government, judiciary and police into the matter.

Complaint states that on July 24th, a television channel telecasted an interview with Thimarodi in which Thimarodi accused Sri Heggade of making a telephone call to the Circle Inspector to arrest Thimarodi. Sri Heggade says that Thimarodi accusations about the murder are untrue connecting his relatives to it.

Part of the complaint to the Superintendent of Police which read, ‘Dharmasthala has never maintained the practice of phoning police in any matters. I take this as humiliation to the police department and myself. I request you to investigate into the matter and let the public know the truth. Only a fair investigation can uphold the integrity of law and constitution’.

The Belthangady cops are instructed to register the case by the Superintendent of Police after taking legal opinion. A case against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi are registered under section 153, 153A and 259 by the police.
