Udupi, October 18: A total of 73 fake currency notes have been traced from the cash received at various branches of Corporation Bank in Udupi between January 2014 and May 2014.
These fake notes were detected during the checking of received currency notes. The denomination bearing 100, 500 and 1000 currency notes summing to a total of 73 are traced.
A plaint has been filed in this regard by Corporation Bank currency test senior manager Anil Rao at Udupi town police station.
It is gathered that, the case has been registered under 297/2014 under section 489B of IPC.
