Mangalore, October 16: “The youngsters are spoiling the future of the country along with them because of their addiction to bad habits. If an hour is spared for the sake of the country and oneself, Patriotism overflows automatically” said the veterian Gandhian Dr S N Subbarao in a special conversation with the students at Vikas Pre-University College in Mangalore on Wednesday morning, October 16th.
“Patriotism is retarding in the young minds, we ought to be patriotic and proudly say I am an Indian”, he said.
The former president of KSP Harikrishna Punaroor spoke to the media and said, Dr S. N. Subbarao is a fabulous talent who has received the Mahatma Gandhi Seva award. President of the National Youth Planning Authority, particularly in the Chambal valley he has transformed the minds of over 600 bandits, and brought them into the track. We are proud of this pure kannadiga who speaks about 38 different languages, fluently, “he said.
In this occassion, the Vikas Educational institution and Kalkura Prathistana specially felicitated Subbarao. The trustees of Vikas College G.R. Rao, koragappa, principal Nagendra, vice-president of Udayavani News Group- Anand, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura from Kalkura Foundation, P. B. Harish Rai-president of the Journalists’ Association Mangalore, Srinivasa Naik, U R Sabhapati and others were present. His special group music shows and game lessons with students presented were applauded.
