Mangalore, October 16: Mobile traders in Mangalore City were deceived of a huge amount by Rajasthan based entrepreneurs. Gurudath Kamath and other traders in the city lost a total estimate of Rs. 40 lakhs by two Rajasthan dealers namely Babulal and Arjun in Mangalore.
Gurudath Kamath has been supplying Gionee and Micromax mobile phones to Mayur enterprises belonging to Babulal and Arjun situated in City Tower at Maidan Road since 4 months. For two months, the dealers paid cash for the mobile phones they bought as per the company rules, post this for two months they paid the money in terms of cheque. The cheque was given by them was rejected by the bank and Gurudath has to receive Rs 2.38 lakhs.
Now it is observed that, Babulal and Arjun have shut down their shop and their cells phones appear to be switched-off.
Moreover, friends of Gurudath namely Ranjith -Shree Enterprises, K B Ravi -Estra Life solutions, Rakesh Shettty – Padma Enterprises, Richard Rasquina – Arvis Agencies, and Jeevan – Greens enterprises also have been deceived by the accused and it is estimated that a total amount of Rs.40 lakhs is lost to the duo.
A Case has been registered with the Bunder police.
