Mangalore, October 11: The Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim at a meeting said, the young citizens who complete 18 years as on January 1st, 2015 are eligible to be included in the electoral list.
A special drive will be conducted to revise the electoral list. Since colleges comprise a majority of this age-group, college principals ought to take measures to distribute Form-6 in colleges and get them submitted to the concerned authorities.
He said, the application forms will be available with booth level officers. The applications for the inclusion, deletion and change of address will be available at the BLO.
Zilla panchayat CEO Tulasi Maddineni said, all the colleges should make arrangements to include youth in the electoral list. The students should produce appropriate identity for registering their names.
