Manipal, October 9: M.V. Kamath (93), a veteran journalist and former chairman of “Prasar Bharathi” rested to eternal peace on Thursday morning in his native place Manipal.
He was suffering from old age ailments for quite some-time and had been hospitalised here since a past few days. He breathed his last around 6:30 am, in the morning said his nephew Jairam Kamath.
Madhav Vittal Kamath was born in Udupi on September 7th, 1921.He was felicitated with Padma Bhushan.
Jairam said, his last wishes…Not to keep his body for long; accordingly we shall perform the funeral today (Thursday).
