Mangalore, October 7: The railway minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda’s younger sister Savithri breathed her last at KMC hospital at Jyothi on Tuesday , October 7th.
Savithri (56), was a zilla panchayat member of Belandur in Puttur and was residing in Hoddeti, Peraje at Sullia. She is the wife of Shivaram Gowda.
She was also a activist of the Rashtriya sevika Samithi and had served as the president of the taluk Panchayat at Puttur from 2009 to 2011.
She was admitted 3 months ago to KMC hospital to undergo chemotherapy since then. She was shifted to ICU since her condition deteriorated on october 6th.
Sadananda Gowda had visited his sister along with his family on Tuesday morning when her condition was critical. He also spoke to the doctors to provide her with all the best possible treatment.
She was proclaimed no more by doctors today by noon.
Sadananda Gowda’s wife Dotty, son Karthik Gowda and other relatives were present.
Savithri is survived by her husband Shivaram, two daughters, mother , 4 brothers including D.V.Sadananda Gowda, and a sister.

The mortal remains have been brought to Eashwara Mangala. The last rights will be performed tomorrow morning at 8 am in their residence at Peraje.
