Mangalore, October 6: A fight broke out on the issue of rising funds for Jammu and Kashmir flood victims, in which two persons were injured. This incident took place on Sunday October 5th, near Volajjal Padavu Mosque.
It is alleged that, Abdul Rehman (48) and V Abbas (45) were attacked by Rafique, Pathonji Ismail and other unidentified persons.
It is learnt that persons identified as Naufal and Ubedulla were collecting funds for flood-affected persons in Jammu and Kashmir. An argument arose after Ismail and others objected to the fund collection. Soon, the arguments turned into a fight between two groups, and Rehman and Abbas who supported the fund collection were allegedly attacked with machete.
The victims are admitted to Highland Hospital at Kankanady.
Attempt to murder case has been booked against the accused in Mangalore rural police station.
