Thefts in the outskirts of Mangalore city during the weekend.

Mangalore, October 6: During the weekend, thefts have been reported to have taken place in the outskirts of Mangalore city.
The burglars sneaked into two houses in Kapikad near Ullal.

In the first instance, the thieves entered into a house belonging to Satish Bekal and fled away with Rs. 5,000 cash and also had eatables placed in the refrigerator before they fled. Satish Bekal had gone to Kasargod with his family when this incident took place. The theft came to light when the family returned on Sunday.

Also the thieves broke into another house belonging to Shekar Bangera in the vicinity. But the house was empty as Bangera’s family lives abroad.

Ullal cops have filed these cases.

Dual thefts have taken place in Suratkal area too.

The thieves burgled the house of Satya Shankara, in Tadambail near Suratkal by breaking the rear door and fled with Rs 58,000 in cash and around 64 grams jewellery.

The thieves sneaked into the next house where they did not get anything. In the last two instances the occupants of the houses were inside when the thieves broke into.

Suratkal cops have registered these cases.
