Mnagalore,oct.02: Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Shri Amal Lal Daultani, Executive Director of the Bank administered pledge of “Cleanliness” to the employees of the Bank at the Corporate Office in Mangalore. In response to the call given by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Corporation Bank started its cleaning campaign in Udupi lead by Shri S R Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank. The campaign has been continuing by the Bank at other places and offices also throughout the country.

Shri Daultani also led the cleaning campaign at the Corporate Office premises and its precincts. Large number of executives and employees of the Bank took part in this campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Daultani said that, “Financial Inclusion is a big challenge and it’s the responsibility of the Bankers to make it a success. The dream of Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi was equality for all and to eradicate poverty. We all should get together to make his dream come true”. The pledge of cleanliness taken by all the employees today should be carried conscientiously, he insisted.

The Bank under “Swach Vidayalaya Scheme – Under the Aegis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” will be constructing 100 toilets across the country in the schools which do not have this facility.
