Udupi, September 30: The Lokayuktha officials have raided Udupi Dy-SP Dr. Prabhudev Mane’s residence in Udupi and Hubli on Tuesday morning and are reviewing the documents.
Based on the plaint by the public on illegal property, Lokayukta officials conducted raids on Prabhudev Mane’s residences on Tuesday morning, at both the houses Mane Nivasa which s at Bramhagiri in Udupi and the other residence in Gokul Nagar Hubli simultaneously and are reviewing the important documents.
Prabhudev Mane had served as Lokayukta SP, after which he had come to Udupi as Dy-SP. Currently he is about to get retired from service, on whom the public in had complaint to the Lokayukta about the illegal property gain.
The raid was carried out under the leadership of Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadanand Varnekar. Lokayukta Dy-SP Umesh Shet, C.P.I Mohan Kothari, was present.
Over the state, 7 houses of officers are raided in various parts of state.
