Belthangady, September 24: During the early hours of the day on Wednesday, September 24th; two KSRTC buses met with an accident in Guruvayanakere close to Belthangady.
It is gathered that; in this accident, 3 persons suffered serious injuries and 16 persons received minor injuries.
It is said that, in order to avoid collision, the KSRTC bus which was plying from Mangalore to Davangere and another KSRTC bus moving towards Mangalore from Dharmasthala moved off the road and collided into a close by tree.
Sources revealed that, both the Transport Carriages was packed with passengers and as it was early morning, some passengers were asleep.
The injured have been admitted to nearby hospital. The critically injured triple passengers are shifted to a private hospital.
As a result of this incident, the front portions of one of the bus and right rear end of the other bus were badly mangled.
Belthangady Cops have registered a case.
