Brisk operation carried out by Kota police: Tri chain thefters put behind bars

Kundapur, September 19: The Cops have put three youths behind bars, within a span of 6-days of the incident; who were alleged of intercepting a layman on the street and had escaped after snatching his gold chain.

Resident of Manuru Padukere  Prashanth(25), Sunil (20), Pramod Mogaveera(19) were arrested and jewellery worth around 20 thousand, 10 thousand cash, Apache bike worth 60 thousand used for theft, overall a total of 90 thousand worth of property has been seized.

Anand Puthran was travelling by his scooter in Thekkatte Kome road around 9.45 pm at night was instructed to stop by a crew of three who came amidst the road.On reducing the speed of the scooter, the thefters pushed the scooter; when Anand Puthran had fallen down, the gold chain worth about 30 thousand weighing 1.5 sovereigns was pulled from his neck and they fled with the chain. Anand Puthran had filed a plaint regarding this at the Kota station.

Use of modern technology: Tracking this case, the District Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police of Udupi District, Santosh Kumar; and under the supervision of Udupi sub-divisional Dy-SP Dr. Prabhudeva Mane, continued the investigation led by Bramhavara circle inspector Arun B. Naik and a crew comprising of the Kota station Inspector K.R. Nayak And Bramhavara circle crime branch officials Sudhesh Shetty, Jeevan, Ramesh, Prasad Shetty and Kota police station personnel’s such as Pradeep Naik, Raghavendra, Gopal Poojary, Basavaraj as well as the cops from Bramhavara circle Inspector’s office-Nagaraj, Raghavendra K, Jayant Shetty and Arun used the  modern technology to collect information about thefters and successfully arrested them.

The public have appreciated the rapid operation of the Cops.
