45-year-old was arrested for sexually assaulting the teenager multiple times
The police yesterday arrested a 45-year-old man for repeatedly raping his 15-year-old daughter after threatening her that he would kill himself if she resisted him. According to the Dindoshi police officials, the accused left his first wife with whom he had a daughter but, while separating, he kept the girl’s custody. He went on to marry another woman with whom he had two children.
A few weeks ago, his second wife went away for a few days to meet her relative, and he was alone with his daughter in the house. One day, he came home completely inebriated and forced himself on her, cops said. The girl resisted his assault and told him she would tell her mother, but he threatened her that if she did, he would commit suicide and leave her orphaned, said the police.
Then he went on to sexually assault her, and the teenager kept it to herself. After this, he allegedly raped her a few more times. When the girl’s condition deteriorated, her mother took her home with her, and she later confided everything to her. The duo then went to Dindoshi police station. “We arrested the accused on Friday and booked him for rape,” said a police officer.
Man lynched for molesting minor
An 11-year-old in Dindoshi was saved in the nick of time from a 22-year-old who tried to kidnap and rape her last afternoon. But the accused fell prey to the anger of the locals, who thrashed him brutally, after which he died.
The girl was making her way home from her school in Malad (East), when the accused, identified as Arjun Singh, forcibly picked her up and took her away to an isolated spot.
He was trying to force himself on her when she bit his hand with all the might she could gather and managed to escape. Meanwhile, a classmate of hers alerted everyone that an unknown man had taken her away with him.
The concerned locals gathered and began looking for the duo. After they realised the child had escaped her aggressor, she was taken to Dindoshi police station where a case of molestation was lodged against Singh.
But the angry locals continued hunting for the accused, Singh, and finally found him hiding in a building. The mob began hitting him and kept the assault up till the time the police showed up at the spot. Cops had to take Singh to Shatabdi Hospital where, at 7 pm, he succumbed to his injuries.
