Modi’s gifts to be auctioned for welfare

AHMEDABAD: As many as 1073 gift articles from chief minister Narendra Modi’s treasure house (Tosha Khana) will be auctioned, in Vadodara at a three-day exhibition cum auction that has been inaugurated on Wednesday (24th July). The exhibition is held at city’s Akruti Art gallery in Kirti Mandir complex.

Modi deposits most of the gifts and mementoes awarded to him in various public functions held across the state, to the treasure house. The gift articles are then auctioned and the amount received is utilized for girl child education in the state. Swords, turbans, traditional tribal bows and arrows, shawls, crystal mementos, artistic silver pots, silver idols, images, wooden articles and beautiful paintings are the star attractions for visitors.

It is an opportunity for the citizens of Vadodara and neighbouring districts to participate in the auction and contribute in Girl child Education Drive.

The state government on regular intervals organize the sale of the CM’s gift articles in different parts of the state during the year.
