For Kerala’s Wayanad district, a place known for lush green coffee plantations and Jain temples, porn is culture shock . And that is what people waiting for a bus at Kalpetta town here experienced yesterday when 2 TV sets that played ads all day long suddenly began broadcasting porn. For the simple hill folk, porn wasn’t something that they ever associated with a bus stop. It was shocking, and confusing at the same time and the locals decided to call the cops, as reported by the Huffington Post.

Investigation found that a cable operator had uploaded what might be more suitable for late-night viewing into the time slot for ads. The cable operator, a man named Manzoor, was then taken into custody, according to local police sub-inspector James George.

“He was produced in court today (Wednesday). He says he played the film by mistake.” George told Huffington Post. Manzoor found himself immediately booked under a series of laws – Section 292 (IPC, Obscene and Indecent Advertisement and Display), Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and under the Information Technology Act.
