Indore, June 12: A minor tribal girl was abducted by a group of five men and raped in a temple by one of them in Jhabua district on the night of Tuesday. The incident took place near Meghnagar town of the district.
The 15-year old victim mentioned in her complaint to police that she had been abducted by five accused and identified two of them as Zuber and Ravi.
She was on her way back home alone after visiting a relative’s place in Kacchar Todi village when five youngsters stopped her at 8 pm.
She has alleged in her complaint that she was abducted in a Bolero car. Then one of them, whom she identifies as Ravi, raped her, Meghnagar police station in charge M L Babhor told the media.
He said, as per her complaint, she was taken to a temple of Bijasan Mata, and raped inside the temple by Ravi.
The survivor also told police in her complaint that one of the accused had keys to the temple, which they used to open it and then dragged her inside.
The truth will emerge only after the investigations are over. We have registered a case against five members and have begun a search operation to nab the accused, said Babhor.
