India’s first nicotine patch ‘2baconil’ launched

New Delhi: Rusan Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. has launched India’s first fully indigenous nicotine patch, 2baconil.

According to Business Wire India, the launch of 2baconil patches has given the 270 million tobacco addicts in India a new form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for tobacco de-addiction. A study done by Global Adults Tobacco Survey (GATS) revealed that 60 percent of Indians smokers consume tobacco within the first 60 minutes of waking up, and as per the World Health Organization (WHO), smokers today have reached an age group of 13-15 years with 8 million global deaths predicted every year by 2030.

Dr. Navin Saxena, Chairman, Rusan Pharma Limited during the launch said that with 6 trillion cigarettes being smoked a year in India, their vision was to bring products which were not only quality driven but also brought convenience to the users.

The product is aiming to save millions of Indian lives from the use of tobacco consumption.
