New Delhi,feb.11 : In an interview to TOI last week, Arvind Kejriwal said, “We have evolved as human beings and individuals. AAP as an organization and political party has also evolved. The changes will be evident.” As AAP is all set to take office yet again, a question uppermost on many minds is how Kejriwal 2.0 will be different from his feisty, dharna-loving avatar during AAP’s 49-day government.

One thing that AAP functionaries insist is that they have learnt to be mature and patient. They will seek the Centre’s cooperation for its programme and if there’s a difference, it will seek to persuade, debate and discuss. Dharna, as Kejriwal told TOI, would be the last resort.

Actually, AAP just can’t afford to be impulsive this time because the party’s national growth will largely depend on its performance in Delhi.

For the capital, AAP has promised a lot. Apart from bringing a Jan Lokpal Bill to curb corruption and a Swaraj Bill to bring citizens into governance, it has promised lower electricity tariff after a CAG audit of discoms, lower water rates, Wi-Fi in public places, more schools and colleges, a phased shift to renewable energy, greater security for women and 2 lakh public loos. Now, if all these can be achieved by efficient use of money and not by mauling public finances, it might be a capital deal for Delhi.
