New Delhi,jan.13 : The special investigation team (SIT) probing the death of former Union minister Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar has been asked to fast-track the case and file a chargesheet as soon as possible. Delhi Police commissioner BS Bassi has said that.
When asked that whether police plan to question Shashi Tharoor, Bassi said that as and when the SIT finds the need to examine a person, they are calling them. They are leaving no one out. The investigation is proceeding as per our action plan, the Delhi Police chief said.
I know that he (Tharoor) has come to Delhi. Our investigation is on and it is possible in the next couple of days or whenever the SIT will find it appropriate, they will question him,
The police chief also did not rule out questioning Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar, and said if the SIT finds anything relevant, “that will not be ignored”.
