The police posted her picture on Twitter, Instagram and other social media and people responded with details about the girl’s parents.
Social media helped the Sharjah Police locate the parents of a three-year-old Turkish girl, who was found crying and looking for her parents in Al Majaz residential area.
Police officials said an Emirati found the girl crying and exhausted, and notified them. When the police reached the site, they tried asking the little girl about her parents, but she could not tell them much.
She was taken to Al Buhaira police station, where the police scanned the system to ascertain if a missing complaint had been registered. On finding none, the police posted her picture on Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites. Some people responded with details about the girl’s parents. The police contacted them and asked them to go to the police station.
The girl’s parents explained to the police the circumstances under which the girl went missing at Al Majaz Waterfront on Monday, following which the girl was handed over to her family.
