The UAE state security has arrested three Iranian nationals accused of kidnapping Abbas Yazdi, who was reported missing by his wife last June.

The authorities identified the kidnappers and launched an investigation to determine the way Yazdi was abducted.

Forensic reports proved beyond doubt the connection between the suspect and the crime. Security authorities are still investigating to identify Yazdi’s exact location.

Reports indicated that Abbas Yazdanpanah Yazdi, born in 1969, is a British passport holder of Iranian origin. He is the owner of a public trade company. The security authorities found belongings of the victim in a house rented by the gang leader who was arrested.

Lt General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, stated that all the arrested men were holding Iranian nationality, and they were about to dispose of the victim’s belongings and documents, but the entire operation was well controlled.

The suspects were about to celebrate the success of their crime, but they were arrested on the spot, the Lt General added.
