NAVIKA Raleigh 2015 ,a grand 3rd World Kannada Summit was held in the world-class architectural wonder, Raleigh, USA during the labor-day weekend of September 4th to September 6th 2015.
The Summit was a canvass for bringing together the highest quality art, literature, education, business, healthcare and technology under one roof. The prime time programs involved popular film actors from Kannada film land, performances by well known celebrities, artists and discourses from literary personalities. The grand event showcased varied talents with energetic participation from all spectrums of global community along with local talents in the US. The cultural events included traditional dance, drama, music, comedy, talent competition, game show, fashion show etc.
Rohini Ananth, a well know luminary in UAE was invited to chair the Emcee committee at this Mega convention. Her impeccable rendering in Kannada left the audience spell bound. The highlight was the tribute paid to Pranaya Raja Dr. Srinath – “ Snehada Kadalalli .. Nenapina Doniyali” organized by Amulya Deepak. The tribute was emceed ably by Rohini.
Klassical Rhythms headed by Rohini Ananth collaborated with Laasya School of Dance and Music headed by Sridevi Jagannath and put up 2 mega productions “ Kavi Kanda Kannada and Karnataka Navarasollasa” at the Mega convention. Aarushi Santosh and Anagha Ramesh from the Klassical Rhythms team enthralled the audience by their stupendous performance. Vismitha Rao, Reshma Jayaram, Roshni, Sneha, Jayshree Jagannatha, Sushma Udupa, Janaki, Shyla , Geetha and Santosh were the other performers.
