UAE Tulukoota Dubai – Tulu Parba 2013

Much awaited program, every tuluva is eagerly waiting for Tulu Parba, one of the most enjoyed and attended cultural program of Tulu speaking people of coastal Karnataka residing in UAE, organized by UAE Tulukoota, Dubai is back with much pomp and gaiety. On Friday, 21st June 2013. Al Nasr Leisuer land, Ice rink will be brimming with proud tuluvas in their traditional attires. Now in its 23rd years of glory, UAE Tulukoota, Dubai has already started preparing to celebrate silver jubilee in a grand scale, a memorable event, UAE has never seen before.

Tulu parba is hosted once in two years by enthusiastic Tuluvas residing in UAE under the banner of UAE Tulukoota, Dubai. Mr. C.R.Shetty, chief convener and recognized leader is the driving force behind this grand event.

Perhaps Tulunad is one of the oldest examples of “Unity in Diversity” in the world. All religions, caste and creed harmoniously co-exist in this sacred land for more than 2000 years despite of different beliefs and languages. Only thread they are bonded together, rather in-separable is the fine thread of regional language – Tulu.

A rare occasion to witness the rich culture, heritage and cuisine of Tulunad, an opportunity to meet long lost friends and relatives, typical bollywood style. Against the back drop of Tulunad village setting, aroma of Mangalore jasmine, very typical Mangalore cuisine of various communities, performing arts like Yakshagana, Dance Drama, world famous tiger dance, bhootha kola, coconut and mock cockfight etc. will enhance the festival mood and atmosphere all will take back to the memory lanes of Tulunad to all those attendees is assured.

To entertain the tuluvas the most popular comedian kings of Tulu stage artist, Mr Devdas Kapikad, Naveen Padil, & Bhojraj Vamanjoor will be joining the tulu parba to perform in their own humourist style. Mr Devdas Kapikad & Naveen Padil will be once again together in the stage which will be one of the most highlighted stage show in Dubai. Procession with different types of tablos, with all religious community people participating in this grand mervanige will be one of the most attracted event for the day.

UAE Tulukoota Dubai committee members are in an offbeat mood, exerting their entire energy and resources to make the event better than any other event in UAE. They are expecting more than 2000 tuluvas to attend this event who will be entertained from the beginning till the end.

Organizing committee has requested all tuluvas residing in and around UAE to attend in large scale together with their friends and relatives and also requested to come in traditional attire to give a festival touch to Tulu Parba.

Speaking to daijiworld Mr C R Shetty said that UAE Tulu Koota has got its own identity since its inception for last 23 years. This parba also will be one of the most entertained day by showcasing our tulunadu atmosphere, and specified that UAE Tulu Koota is one of the oldest association in UAE and we are here just to promote our tulu culture without any religion, caste or creed, and requested all community leaders & tulu nadu people to attend the programme and participate to make this programme successfull.

Mr K R Tantry organsising Secretary has requested all media persons, Association Chiefs, and Tulu Koota members, along with their families to attend the curtain raiser programme on Friday, 24th May 2013 in Quick Bite Restaurant Diera, at 11 AM followed with lunch buffet.
