Nadeem Al Balushi became the first singer in the entire Gulf to launch his debut album “For All” in five different languages in Majan Events/ MKP mega album launch “Beyond Boundaries…” in City Amphitheater, Qurum recently. Bank Muscat was the presenter of the show that witnessed people of at least eight nationalities on a pleasant Friday evening.
Nadeem has recorded his album with Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi, English and Swahili songs recorded in India and Egypt using the latest technology, industries’ best lyricists, musicians and composers. “I got offer to release my first album in Mumbai but I wanted to launch this in my own country Oman” Nadeem said. “Music is my passion and people of Oman have heard me singing since I was a 10 year old boy…” he adds. “I am indeed proud to see such a huge audience to encourage me in my debut launch of “For All” in Amphitheater” he continues.
Bali Brahmbhatt, the famous playback singer and king of Rap singing in Bollywood was specially flown from London to take charge of the launch proceeding and hold the audience spellbound with his excellent skills in singing, anchoring and dancing. He happily acceded to the audience demand and sang “Amma Dekh…, Usne Bola Kem Chhe, Tere Bin Jeena Nahi…” and won their hearts.
H.E. J.S. Mukul the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate, Col. Abdul Wahab and Fayyaz Shah were the dignitaries gracing the historic occasion. G.V. Majan Events have been conducting social, cultural shows in the past three decades in Oman in Arabic, Hindi and many regional languages in Oman. “We have brought Karishma Kapoor, Raju Srivastav, Steven Devassy, Falguni Pathak, Sadhana Sargam, Suresh Wadkar and many more famous stars from India and Arab world through more than 1,000 shows in Oman,” said Shaikh Kaleem of Majan Events. MKP, a social arm of Majan Events has organized excellent quality cultural programs like tributes to the legends of Bollywood Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Mohd. Rafi, Kishor Kumar, Yash Chopra in the past three years. “We have always encouraged local talent – singers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, actors, directors and anchors – by providing them a good platform with huge audience” says Dipti Raval of MKP. “Our motto is to motivate and promote highly talented artistes from all walks of life and we are proud to have established ourselves as high quality show organizers as a part of Majan Events” she adds.
Bali started the evening with his most popular “Amma Dekh…” song that once stayed on the top of the chart in Bollywood for weeks. Santrupth, a versatile drummer having a Grade 8 certificate from Trinity College of Music, London in drumming, set the stage on fire with his inter-active performance with the audience in a unique sequence and invited Nadeem Al Balushi on stage. Nadeem made a remarkable entry with his Arabic song Legait aldunya and set the right mood for the multi-national crowd. Nadeem presented his Arabic, Hindi and Punjabi songs well complimented by professionally choreographed dances by Delicious, Dilip, Dhanlaxmi and Vineetha. Playback singer Harish Sherigar sang Bollywood songs and Stole the Hearts of Music Lovers.
Nearly 200 dancers performed in various songs adding the right glamour to the evening. Special guest Haneef Tak who is the professional sound engineer in Bollywood was honored for his expertise in mixing Nadeem’s album songs. Michael Jackson’s Heal the World proved to be the perfect ending to the show as the message of peace reached Beyond Boundaries… with the entire cast, volunteers joining the organizers Shaikh Kaleem, Dipti, Jayesh & Jagdip. Sound and lights by Talentz and technical expertise from Akash Raval & Jayesh Raval ensured a perfect synchronization of audio-visuals during the show. Jagdip Bhatia offered the vote of thanks to the sponsors, government organizations and volunteers who helped in the thumping success of “Beyond Boundaries…”
