Preity Zinta molestation case: Ness Wadia to record statement today

Mumbai: Businessman and co-owner of cricket club Kings XI Punjab, Ness Wadia will arrive at Marine Lines Police station on Tuesday to record his statement against the allegations made by his former girlfriend Preity Zinta.

Wadia wrote to Mumbai Police listing the names of 9 witnesses he wants quizzed in the case.

The names of witnesses mentioned by Wadia are: Serieka Lal, Loretta Joseph, Pooja Dadlani, Anneline Adams, Farah Oomerbhoy, Sweetie Burman, Kamlesh Shah, Rayaan Mustapha and Sharat Nath.

Two of the witnesses listed by industrialist Ness Wadia whose statements he wants to be recorded in the molestation case filed by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta against him, were not cooperating, while the rest were yet to be identified and contacted, according to police.

Police have so far recorded statements of 12 witnesses named by Zinta, seven of whom have been described as ‘crucial witnesses’ by the investigators.

Despite their break-up, Wadia and Zinta have continued their business ties and are co-owners of Kings XI Punjab team.

Marine Drive Police have registered an FIR against Wadia under IPC Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
