Over the years, many actors have been awarded for their incredible contribution to the Bollywood industry, who entertained and ruled millions of hearts with their onscreen grace and histrionics. Extremely talented and beautiful actress of the Film Industry Salma Aagha was recently awarded by Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar award 2014 for serving her fourth generation in Bollywood. Salma Agha first film was B.R Chopra’s “Nikaah” for which she won the Filmfare award and Best Female Playback Award for the ghazal “Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye”.

Salma Agha said, “I feel extremely humbled when I was awarded with Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar award 2014. It was a glad moment for me. I fell in love with Hindi movies because “Love” seemed to exist only in Bollywood”.

Salma’s maternal grandparents are actor Jugal Kishore Mehra and actress Anwari Begum who starred in the first ever made Heer Ranjha(1932). Salma’s mother Nasreen being born to a star pair bagged the lead with K.L. Saigal in A.K. Kardar’s Shahjahan, a prized role of those times (1946) and Ek Roz (1947). Now Salma’s daughter and Bollywood actress Shasha Agha is ruling on millions of heart. She was launched by Yash Raj film “Aurangzeb”.

4th Bharat Ratna Dr.Baba Saheb Ambedkar Awards 2014 attended by many renowned personalities from Bollywood. The prestigious award was received by many actors, singers, journalists like Popular playback singer Udit Narayan, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Actress Divya Dutta, Kavita Kaushik, Ratan Rajput, Social activist Pushpa Milind Bhole and many others.
