Hrithik Roshan has been in the news for his split with wife Sussanne, and his ouster from Karan Johar’s Shuddhi. But Duggu is back in action. It’s official that Hrithik will star in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next film, Mohenjodaro. “We have just confirmed Hrithik for the main lead. We yet have to zero in on an actress,” a source connected to the film told us.
The shoot for Mohenjodaro will begin only after Hrithik wraps up work on Bang Bang. The actor is also undergoing physiotherapy to ensure that he is completely fit before he takes on other films. In the meantime, our source claims that Ashutosh is keen to get Deepika Padukone on board for Mohenjodaro.
“Ashutosh has worked with Hrithik in Jodha Akbar and with Deepika as well (Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se). However, Hrithik and Dippy haven’t worked together so far, and the fresh pairing might work to the film’s advantage,” our source added. The mega-budget, period film is scheduled to go on the floors early next year.
