For Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham 2’, Kareena Kapoor has cleared all her dates and made way for bulk dates which she has allotted to the director. This has helped Rohit Shetty to complete the film from start to end schedule.
The film is expected to be completed within 65 days. Also, the reason Kareena did this is because the makers have already the announced its release date as 15th August, 2014 and under no circumstances the could the release date be missed.
Kareena Kapoor’s line up of movies for 2014 were all in place until the movies she had agreed to be a part of didn’t take off for some or the other reason.
To start with, she opted out of ‘Shuddhi’ because Karan Johar went and secretly forwarded the script to Deepika without her knowledge. Moreover, due to Hrithik’s split with wife Sussane, he was unable to give concrete dates which led to further delay of the film. She had also agreed to be a part of Dev Benegal’s ‘Bombay Samurai’ but that too has now been postponed towards the end of the year. Apart from this, the only other film she had agreed was ‘Singham 2’ to be directed by Rohit Shetty.
Rohit Shetty wants to shoot the film nonstop without any break. To which Kareena gave an open window of 65 days so that he can shoot with her uninterrupted. Generally, actors juggle 2 films at a time bit for this one, not only Kareena but Ajay too has given bulk dates to the director.
An insider from the production unit told Deccan Chronicle, ” They met on Tuesday to discuss the first schedule and everything has been locked. Some portions of the film will also be shot in Hyderabad at Ramoji film city. Rohit is extremely thrilled to finally start shooting this week.”
