A decade into his career as a film actor and Navdeep has yet to get a taste of that elusive commercial success. Not one to lose hope though, the young actor is now banking on his forthcoming release Bangaru Kodipetta.
“It’s a romantic entertainer,” he informs, adding, “The story revolves around people who try to make money by going down the wrong path.”
Navdeep also points out that the subject is something that everyone will be able to connect to. “There’s no separate comedy track because all the characters are funny,” he says.
The actor has five films lined up for release this year. “I’ve been waiting for a commercial break for a long time and I’m confident that it will happen this year,” he says hopefully.
In an introspective mood, Navdeep admits to his wrong judgment being the cause of his flops so far.
“Until I have a commercial hit, I have to take up whatever comes my way. I have proved myself in the last few years but I badly need a big hit,” says the actor, who says he has no regrets and is happy with the way his career going.
Referring to the unpleasant controversies of the past, Navdeep owns up to his mistakes. “Those incidents took place because of my aggressiveness. I made a couple of mistakes but I realise my fault now and I don’t want to repeat them. As celebrities, we definitely need to be more careful,” he admits.
The buzz is that the 27 year old actor plans to collaborate with Jr NTR to produce a film. When we ask Navdeep if it’s true, he laughs and says that he doesn’t have that kind of money to produce a film.
“I spend all my money on buying cars and going to pubs. I can’t produce a film!” he remarks.
